About Our Guatemala Projects
Our Guatemala Project is located near the historic city of Antigua. Volunteers work with direct trade farmers and artisans to complete projects that benefit the communities.

Guatemala Project Plan
Day 3 – Coffee Harvest and Processing Project 7:30 am - Breakfast at the guest house 8:30 am - Volunteer Morning: Work at the coffee fields harvesting coffee 12:30 am - Lunch at a Coffee producer's house 2:30 pm - Coffee Processing: After the harvest morning you will help the coffee farmer process the coffee to get it ready for exportation this afternoon we will work with the de-pulping machine and start the fermentation process of all of the coffee we harvest in the morning. 5:00 pm - Return to the guest house 6:00 pm - Dinner together at guest house |
Day 4 – Coffee Harvest and Processing Project 7:30 am - Breakfast at the guest house 8:30 am - Continue harvesting coffee fields 12:30 am - Lunch at a Coffee producer's house 2:30 pm - Coffee Processing: After the harvest morning you will help the coffee farmer process the coffee to get it ready for exportation this afternoon the work will consist in washing the coffee we let fermenting the day before and we are going to put it on the drying patios. 5:00 pm - Return to Antigua 6:00 pm - Dinner together with local family |
Day 5 – Project at Local School 7:30 am - Breakfast at the guest house 8:30 am - Walk to a local school to work on the project Paint a classroom with the students while learning Spanish 12:30 pm - Lunch Together at coffee producer house 2:00 pm - Continue local school project 6:00 pm - Dinner at guest house |
Day 6 – Food and Culture: Explore food markets and learn how to prepare local foods 8:00 am - Breakfast at the guest house 9:00 am - Bus to Antigua local market Market Exploration: You will be in charge of finding all of the ingredients required to cook the traditional meal of Pepian. 12:30 am - Lunch at Chefs House 2:30 pm - Pepián Cooking Class: Come and cook alongside some of the best pepián chefs we know from the community of San Miguel Escobar on the outskirts of Antigua. They take great pride in their recipe and enjoy teaching it to visitors! and Enjoy your on creation for dinner. |
Day 7 – Education/Recreation Activity: Visit Archeological Mayan Site Iximche´ and Farewell Dinner 8:00 am - Breakfast at the guest house 9:00 am - Shuttle to Archeological Site Walking tour in Archeological Site Iximche´ 12:30 am - Lunch at Iximche´ Time to Explore Archeological Site 4:30 pm - Return to San Miguel 6:00 pm - Farewell dinner with community members Day 8 – Hasta Pronto! TBD - Breakfast at the guest house TBD - Departure to Airport |
Project Service Fee
The Project Service Fee of $158 per person per day includes all food, lodging, in country transportation, full time volunteer coordinator, project materials, liability insurance, and educational/recreational activity. The Project Service Fee does not include flights to and from Guatemala.
